Our Christmas Day family service led by Hannah and Natalie. Helium Christmas message balloons as well as prayers for others released inot the skies!

Christingle Service - 02/12/12
Our first Christingle service involved everyone making a christingle! Hannah preached!

Part 2 of Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat! Again we made most of the props in the craft time for the story and sang some songs from the famous musical. A great chicken pasta dish too!
Hubbub Art Exhibition Evening - 06/09/12

Our theme this month was 'Joseph and his amazing technicolour dreamcoat" Part 1. We made all the props in the craft time for the story covering his dreams, his coat of many colours, and his sale and captivity to the hairy Ishmaelites who took him to sell as a slave to Egypt. One of the puppets took the part of Joseph. All this followed by sumptious lasagne and choc ices!
Church August Bank Holiday walk and Picnic - 27/08/12
A stroll up the Castle Eden Walkway and a picnic at the station. The rain just started as we finished!
Holiday Club Closing Ceremony - 26/08/12
A few pics of our Sunday morning closing ceremony service. The 'Olympic candle' was extinguished after lighting lots of tea lights to represent Jesus' teaching that He is the light of the world and now we are the light of the world.
Children's Olympic Holiday Club Week - 20th to 24th August 2012
Five mornings of fun and madness with teaching from Mark's Gospel using the 'On Your Marks' material from Scripture Union. Each day had a different theme and dress code! Note this is a large 17Mb file to download.

Sports Fun with Billingham Baptist Church - 07/08/12
It was meant to be a rounders re-match but pouring rain forced us indoors to play games of a different type! A lot of fun and thank you BBC for hosting this event and providing lots of hot dogs and puddings!
Olympic Messy Church - 05/08/12
Our special NBC Messy Church 'Olympics' with games not found in London 2012! Our theme was 'Running the Race' and the puppets came to visit too. Lots of fun and a great talk by Hannah.
Church Week Away at Keswick - 21st to 28th July 2012
A group of 30 or so folk from NBC went to Keswick for week 2 of the Convention. Here's some of what we got up to and we did go to some of the meetings it's just there's no photos of those bits! Lots of spiritual food, wonderful physical food and great fellowship and fun!
After Church Picnic and Football - 15/07/12
The lads n dads n grandads football after church on the Education Centre field. A fun time was had by all and the defibrillator was nearly needed for some!
Our First Cafe Church in Kings Coffee - 11/07/12
A joint venture between NBC, St. Mary's, Youth for Christ and Kings Coffee. YFC had a team of young people from the USA share with us and here are a few photos of the evening.

Our Sunday morning baptismal service when Helen Tate and Sarah Barugh was baptised. It was a great time of celebration and this is how it happened!
NBC Day at the Seaside at Whitby - 07/07/12
It was a very misty warm and muggy day but it did lift a bit late afternoon. Crazy golf (Abi was champion!), a funny Norwegian game with blocks of wood and balls was great fun, games on the beach and the proverbial fish and chips! Lots of fun and fellowship together.
July 4th Independence Day Rounders with Billingham BC - 04/07/12
A special American Independence Day Rounders match with folk from Billingham Baptist Church plus hot dogs and cheesecakes! It was a great fun evening but we were trounced by BBC - the rematch will be different!
Our theme today was 'Independence and freedom in Christ' using the backdrop of American Independence Day, 4th July, with Texan Natalie telling us all about it. Here's some of what we got up to!
Poplars GT3 group trip to Richmond - 20/05/12
The first of the Poplars GT3 group summer outings. A glorious sunny day and a great time had by all!
Our theme today was Pentecost and the Holy Spirit explored through the symbols of wind and fire - literally in the case of the pineapple cake!
Rebuild 12: Mexico Mission Team - 29th March to 10th April 2012 Supporting Text Document
A team of sixteen intrepid young (and a few older!) people from NBC went on the Urban Saints Rebuild 2012 Mexico Mission to build a house for a homeless family. Here is their story in photos and words.

Easter Messy Church - 01/04/12
Our theme was the Easter story so here are a few pics of the crafts and meal. I was doing the worship part so no pics of the Holy Week Easter egg talk and prayer dominoes as I forgot to ask someone to take some!
The theme was 'Jesus the Light of the World' so lots of fun building a lighthouse and all things light related!
Our first Messy Church on the theme of 'A New Start' looking at Noah and the Ark. Lots of fun with crafts, Ark building, singing and tucking in to Noah Pie and Rainbow Cakes and trifles!
