Men’s Ministry
The men have an active programme of events and get-togethers and you can find out about what is happening next in the Take 5 notices section.
This is an important ministry for the church because we want NBC to be a great place for men to grow as men!
Activities range from weekends away to trips out and evenings in! We have recently been to Shildon Railway Museum and had a tour round the Transporter Bridge, and also had a couple of 'Cod, Curry and Comedy' evenings. Sometimes we just go out for a pint and/or take part in a local pub quiz (we didn't do too well in the last one!).
The men also organise church walks, open to both men and women, for those that like to hike a few miles - or more! You can see some photos of these events in the Gallery.
The men also have a 'Neighbours in Need' ministry which seeks to help those who need a bit of practical help with jobs around the home, but have no one to help them to do it. Contact Colin for more details.
The next weekend away has already been booked at Seahouses for 17th September 2010. We have previously been away to Keswick (photo at Honiston mine) and Coniston.
The men's ministry is headed by Colin, Tony S, Ian Y, and David G. Contact Ian Young for more details.
