Overseas Missions
Supporting and engaging with overseas mission is a key part of the life of NBC and we are committed to serving and helping where God enables us. In fact, the church exists for mission - both local and overseas!
The church currently supports or is linked with long-term missionaries in Turkey, Spain and Guinea, and you can find out more about them by clicking on the country on the right. In addition we have a number of folk from church who go out on mission for short term assignments ranging from a week to two months.
During 2009 to 2011 we had individuals or small mission teams from the church out to Equador, Nepal (x2), Spain (x2), India (x5), USA (x2), Tanzania (x3), Turkey, Zimbabwe, Mexico, Lithuania, and Zambia
We are still sorting 2012 but we have a team of 16 young people and leaders currently planning to return to Mexico in April with Urban Saints for Rebuild 2012.
BMS World Mission is our main church family mission organisation and we support BMS and their work in many different ways. There is a monthly prayer meeting for BMS every second Monday of the month and details can be found in Take 5.
There is a also church Missions Support Group headed up by Judith Sykes that is responsible for overseeing our missions work and managing some of our finances concerning mission service and needs. Judith also writes a weekly column in Take 5 called 'Hands Around the World'.
