Prayer Morning Prayer Stations - 31/12/11
A record of the personal prayer stations we used for the second hour of our end of year prayer morning. We spent the first hour in worship and looking back over 2011 to gave thanks for all that God had done. The third hour we looked forward to 2012.
Angels on Assignment - 18/12/11
Our Christmas production which included drama and a choir. It was all about the angels receiving their Christmas assignments and how they went about delivering the messages. A fun time was had by all!

Mexico Evening at The Hub - 29/10/11
A fun evening hosted by the Rebuild 2012 Mexico mission team which included delicious mexican food, quiz and hearing about the trip planned for Easter next year. Well done to all the young people and 'older' team for a great evening!
Men's Weekend Away at Sneaton Castle - 14-16th October 2011
Fourteen of us went on our fourth weekend away at Sneaton Castle in Whitby. We had a great time of fellowship but with some good teaching input as well. Here are a few photos of what we got up to! In fairness to a senior member of the church, a picture may be worth a 1000 words but it may not always imply the truth!
Pastoral Visit to David & Christine in Montoro, Spain - 23-29th September 2011
Ian & Heather went out to see David & Christine and spend some time with them and see the work in Montoro. Here are a few photos of Montoro, folk we met and Cordoba. If you want to see more then you'll have to pop round for a coffee!
Our third exploration into "fresh expressions" of church, after Cafe church and Moot church with Menu church to come next week). We took the theme, "Jesus the bridge" and made the visual aid used to explain the Gospel message. A lot of children away with it being Bank Holiday but fun was had by all ages!
Poplars GT3 Group trip to Hardwick Country Park - 17/08/11
A picnic in Hardwick Country Park followed by a walk round the lakes and the proverbial ice cream! A lovely day out with sunny intervals breaking through the clouds.
A few snaps of our 12 hour prayer meeting split up into prayer hours focusing on different topics and using different prayer methods. It included worship, mid-day and teatime holy communion and individual prayer stations among other approaches. A great day.
Our Cafe church Sunday morning service as part of our Summer "Fresh Expressions" of church series. Our theme was 'What is church?' with Jay Moussa singing, story telling, comedy and other bits and pieces. A lot of fun and I think it worked well.
Church week away at Keswick - 23/07/11
Over 20 church folk plus friends and family went to Keswick for week 2 of the Convention. A week of glorious sunshine (not typical!) with great fellowship and teaching. Here are a few snaps of what we got up to.
Poplars GT3 Trip out to Helmsley - 26/06/11
The poplars plus a few others had a day out in Helmsley. Beautiful sun and lots of ice cream plus a giant merangue for Doris!
Hollies GT3 Group's Birthday Party for Kate - 08/06/11
The Hollies had a fun evening for Kate's birthday with scrumptious chocolate cake and games that required (drink free!) dexterity!
Men's Half-Gallon Walk - 17/05/11
A evening walk from Norton to Thorpe Thewles (for some!), refreshment, and then a walk on the Castle Eden walkway before further refreshment in Thorpe. A night walk for the hardy ones back to Norton blinded by Colin's fluorescent jacket! Can you guess who did 10 mile and who did 3 mile?
Church Easter Family Walk - 23/04/11
An out-and-back walk (6 mile) along the Castle Eden walkway from the old station on Easter saturday with a picnic at the end. The BMS Kolkata Action Team were with us for the week and the air ambulance also paid a visit to an injuried cyclist we came across as we passed by.
Our first church walk of 2011 - an 11 mile circular from Westerdale.
